2022 Annual Legislative Report
On September 28, 2023, UConn submitted to the Connecticut General Assembly’s Higher Education Committee its annual legislative report that provides a comprehensive review of UConn’s sexual violence prevention, awareness and response efforts during calendar year 2022.
UConn’s report reflects the University’s deep commitment to sexual violence prevention and response. It outlines the university’s hundreds of prevention, awareness and risk reduction programs and awareness campaigns during the 2022 calendar year. It also outlines the university’s comprehensive response to incidents that do occur.
As noted in the report, the University has continued to enhance training and awareness campaigns for both employees and students in an effort to prevent incidents and also to ensure that students understand where and how to report incidents of sexual violence, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking. It is the University’s hope that this report will raise awareness and provide information about our commitment to both preventing and responding appropriately to all forms of sexual violence.
Effective October 1, 2015, all universities and colleges in Connecticut must submit this report annually by October 1 for the immediately prior year pursuant to General Statutes Section 10a-55m.
