Laurie Wolfley is a Professor of English at the Avery Point Campus.  Across the English discipline, Professor Wolfley implements and encourages growth of literary skills through various courses.  With the primary goal of promoting interaction between students and the surrounding community, she uses service-learning to create opportunity for engagement.  Her students at Avery Point have ongoing partnerships with surrounding organizations, such as the Groton Public Library and local elementary schools.  Wolfley successfully expands her classroom in to off-campus environments, and routinely allows her students to find their own motivations and passions through service-learning.
